To not only save orphans from a life (or death) in the streets, but to give these children/young adults an opportunity to succeed.
The word “succeed” in our mission statement must be understood in context of where these children/young adults live. “Succeed” does not have the same meaning as we might think of in the west – of affluence and position in society. For these children/young adults to succeed we hope they can have enough food, live in peace without fear of physical harm, raise a family, and give back to their own society.
Some of these children receive a little education at the orphanage, but not the kind of education that will give them a chance to succeed when they are on their own. Childvision is committed to providing quality education and job and life skills training that will allow these children the opportunity they need and deserve.
