CHILDVISION ANNOUNCES VENUE AND DATE FOR THE ANNUAL WORLD OF HOPE GALA

Evansville, Indiana, May 20, 2008 – Childvision, a not-for-profit humanitarian aid organization announced today that the organization has finalized plans for the annual World of Hope Gala fundraising event.  This year’s event will be held on October 18th at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indianapolis, Indiana.  The World of Hope Gala is the organization’s largest fundraising event and, unlike many other organizations, 100% of all contributions made to Childvision go directly to children in need around the world by providing them quality education, job training and life skills.

“Last year’s World of Hope Gala was a huge success and has enabled us to help fund the construction of a dormitory that will allow teenagers from orphanages throughout Vietnam to have safe living conditions while they obtain education and job training,” said Keith Wallace, CEO of Childvision.  “I have seen firsthand the lack of hope that children have in many of the countries I work with.  Our mission for Childvision is to save orphans around the world from a life or death in the streets and give them an opportunity to learn how to provide for themselves.”

The World of Hope Gala offers an exciting evening of entertainment and an opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives of children.  The evening consists of dinner, entertainment, silent and live auctions.  Last year’s auction donations included a wide variety of unique items such as fine jewelry, vacation packages, adoption services and many interesting international items.

“Our 2008 Procurement Campaign is currently underway and we are again this year receiving many valuable and exciting items for the Gala,” said Heidi Barrett, Childvision volunteer. “I became interested in Childvision and the work they were doing for children around the world after I adopted my first child from Guatemala.  Keith and his organizations FTIA and Childvision are truly making a difference in children’s lives and I am honored to support their efforts.”

Childvision offers many ways for people to get involved in their mission.  While the World of Hope Gala is the largest event that the organization holds each year, ongoing contributions are essential and allow Childvision to provide sustaining services to children.  Other opportunities to get involved include volunteering, donating items for the Gala, organizing community fundraising activities and cash donations.  Visit www.childvision.org to learn more.
